Open the Book is a Bible Society programme of dramatised Bible stories for our local primary school assembly times. Each session is around 10-15 minutes long.

Our church team of volunteer storytellers use drama, mime, props, costume – even the children and staff themselves – to present Bible stories in ways that are lively, engaging, informative … and great fun for everyone involved!

Children in our community have an opportunity to hear the major stories of the Bible as part of a three-year rolling programme.

This simple assembly scheme is proving to be a big hit with the children and their teachers. The stories entertain, educate and often capture the imagination of many of the children who look forward to their telling.
